Transmission leak in a4

Transmission leak in a4

A just noticed that my trans is leaking pretty bad and if I remember correctly , I read some where about a pump seal or something going on these trans? Anyone have a idea

i know i had hell with the tailshaft seal in mine. it would always leak. my car did have over 100k on it though.

Where is the leak at? the front or the back?

My drive shaft had a tiny hole right down the middle of the yoke which would let out the fluid if you jacked up the front of the car and left it for a while. I always thought the seal was leaking until I saw that. I plugged it with a little RTV and that was the end of the problem. I imagine it could leak from other reasons like if the yoke had a lot of wear or something.
