Transmission goes into reverse when put in park
Transmission goes into reverse when put in park
When I went to park today, I noticed shifting into park caused it to go into reverse. After fiddling around a bit, it seems all the gears have shifted "up" one position. P is Reverse, R is Neutral, N is Drive, etc.
The transmission seems to be shifting just fine once in drive.
Is this likely a faulty TPS sensor, or something more expensive? If the TPS is the likely cause, what's the part number for a TPS for a 4L60E tranny?

Re: Transmission goes into reverse when put in park
My Camaro marks for drive and park are off pretty far. Its hard to tell which one is which until you get use to it. I would like to hear what the solution is.

Take a look under the car where the cable bolts to the side of the pan. If you hit something and broke the plastic tabs that hold the linkage to the pan it can alter the shift positions.
