transgo breaking splines/spider gears?
transgo breaking splines/spider gears?
I was talking to my neighbor whom works on transmissions. He said that the agressive shift in 1-2 could become a problem for my spider gears/splines in my rear. He said too much of the kit will break them. I was wondering if there was any information on this that anyone had. I love the agressive feel of the shift but i dont want to end up on the side of the road.
thanks
thanks
Re: transgo breaking splines/spider gears?
i dont believe that really.. i had a VERY aggressive setup in mine (granted the trans itself only lasted a year before it grenaded the input sprag) but i never had any problems with anything else and it would chirp the 1-2 shift at 3krpms with half throttle.. and it was a neck breaker at anything below that... my friends hated it lol.
Re: transgo breaking splines/spider gears?
i <3 neck snapping but i dont <3 broken things. this is why i ask. I will take your opinion. My neighbor has a 5 car garage bigger then my house with a lift and he specializes in transmissions and said he could improve it by doing something i dont know but he said that his main concern was me breaking something in the rear through the pounding shift.
its the best after getting some massive cheesesteaks. my friends get in the car and first shift everyone is sick to their stomach haha
