transgo, b&m, or TCI?

im looking for a shift kit for my 700 and i cant decide between three, the transgo (JR) b&m shift improver, or the TCI. they are all around the same price, i would get the full transgo but i cant afford it right now. i did a search and there isnt much said about any except the full transgo one, which doesnt help me. i want one that shifts very hard, and also prolongs the life of the tranny, becasue mine is tight but has over 100k on it

also im putting in the corvette servo, but do i need the longer pin too? i also have right now in my possession the B4c 4th gear thing (gm #8673948) which i plan to put in.

also is the .500 boost valve worth it? ive hread both good and bad about it, some people said it hurts the tranny others say it helps...

thanks!

also the tranny is going into an 88 iroc 350TPI that i just freshened, ported and cammed, its a daily driver that gets run hard. i have searched all the topics i asked about but nothing gives a good clear answer, except the 4th gear thing that was a good thread i read on that.

Re: transgo, b&m, or TCI?

also one of my friends had a 24-2600 stall converter that i might be able to get, is it worth my time to put one in also? he got it from one of those places on ebay for like $150, it looks good and had a one year warranty when he got it, its still new in the box, he wrapped the car around a tree before he could put it in...

thanks

Transgo or nothing IMO. The B&M "kit" is a lot less comprehensive. LIttle more than a replacement separator plate IIRC.

You will find alot of Transgo supporters here, including me.
B&M makes some good products but their shift kit aint one of em.
TCI is a great company in my opinion, I have one of their TCs in my car now, but as far as shift kits go TransGo is the best in my opinion.
