Trans cooler
Trans cooler
Well i just ordered a B&M super cooler for my ol' 4l60e and it says that you should install it on the return line comming out of the radiator. Isn't it just like the 700r4 with the return line being the bottom one(i think thats what it said, not infront of me right now)????

Re: Trans cooler
HOLD UP!!
Have you cut anything yet? Remember, with the LT1's reverse cooling everthing goes backwards through the radiator as well as the engine. The return line comes from the TOP of the radiator. It is the line with the hose clamp on it if you are looking at things under the car. If you splice the bottom line you will be cooling the fluid BEFORE the radiator and negating any gains you would see from secondary cooling. Your not going to hurt anything by plumbing it backwards, it just won't be very efficient.
