Tranny Swap - 1996 M6 and 1994 A4 - Issues?

1996 M6 swapping with a 1994 A4.

Now I know the basic and obvious differences [pedals, tranny's, consoles] but what about wiring and year to year differences? Would it beat easier to swap PCM's and harnesses or convert to different OBD's? What wiring harness adjustments would have to be made if he took my 94 A4 harness? What if he kept his, could he add the A4 components? Just wondering what problems might arise with such a swap.

Thanks.

I put a t56 from a 94 in my 97 without any problems. I followed this guide for the wiring, http://www.afrashteh.com/tranny_pics/T56.htm

I don't use the reverse lock-out, but everything else works fine with the new connectors.
