hey guys i got a 94 z28 automatic, the tranny starting screwing up today. It is fine in 1st and 2nd gear but shifts into third at unusually high rpm's and hesitates to shift into 4th, when in 3rd and forth in lacks power and feels like it's in neutral, when accerlating like this the rpm's would jump and engine would rev like it's in neutral. trans fluid appears good very few bubbles appear on the dip stick and no burnt smell, and as well when i first noticed the problem i checked the fluid and noticed the dipstick had be pushed out of the transmission dip stick tube. Any tips or ideas would be great.

 

Sounds like sure signs of the 3-4 clutches being out of it. What condition is the fluid in? Is it discolored or does it smell burnt?

dark red and burnt smelling, i had it serviced today but still having same problem.

 

Well sounds like its dead time for a trans or a rebuild
