Tranny problem??

I have a 1995 z28 with an automatic ......i started to have a problem after the car warmed up to normal temp today...it shifts into first and second with no problem, but when going into third normal acceleration it will rev past normal shifting rpm level, and just keep reving until i let off the gas, then it will finally shift into third, i was wondering since i have never changed the filter since i bought the car in 95 that maybe that has something to do with it??? any ideas thanx alot

Probably wouldn't hurt to get a full tranny flush. Hopefully your tranny isn't going out.
