Tranny Fluid

When reading trans temp through the pcm on a scanner. where is the sensor and how accurate is this? reason for asking is because if the sensor is on the pressure port then it would be reading higher temps

The sensor is in the pan attatched to the valve body temps should be reasonable acurate

could this wire feeding the pcm be spliced into for a temp guage? or is it a completly different kinda sendin unit

The factory schematics show the sensor is a simple thermistor. On that basis, you can't tie another gauge into the ciruit, because it would alter the resistance on the circuit, and the temperature is based on the variable resistance of the sensor.

ahh wouldve been nice and a heck of alot easier to install a guage
