tranny cooler and stall?

i want to install i tranny cooler on my 4l60e with 139k. how do yall like yours and what brand did you buy? i recently did a ac delete and i want to mount it where the ac condenser was. do yall think it would be a good support mod for a stall with 139k on the tranny? or should i wait for a built tranny to install the stall?

For a cooler, I mounded mine in front of the condenser. I used a B&M "stacked plate" design, as I hear those are better than the tube and fin. The tube and fin can actually produce more heat because it builds pressure in the lines. Then just put the biggest one you can find on there. The cooler the better. Not to informed on stalls, but I'm sure someone else can chime in.

No harm in getting the tranny cooler out of the way now. As for the stall, it can go either way. Me personally, I would wait to do the stall until the tranny was rebuilt with that kind of mileage. The reason being, if your tranny did suffer a tragic death, you don't want a bunch of debris getting in your new converter.

Good cooler, but it's doing you absolutely no good where you've got it mounted. You build the most heat through the converter when it's at full stall, or at a stop light. How much is your cooler helping when your car isn't moving? It needs to be directly in front of the radiator, where your fan can pull air through it. The only exception to this rule is if your using a dedicated cooler fan.
