Overflowing tranny?

Ok well I recently installed my new Torque converter and TCI flexplate. I also bought a new tranny pan with a plug and a kit from b&m so i could just screw in the sending unit. Now i know all the fluid in the pan is not all the fluid thats in the tranny. The car book( glove compartment book) says to put in 10.8 qts stock...Kinda a lot. After reinstalling the tranny, I noticed that its hard to get a reading cause I think the dip stick is sliding on the edge of the tube that it goes down, even when its sitting for a while I can't get an accurate reading. Ok heres the main problem. I poured some in.. about enough to fill the pan and maybe a little more and I let the car run and heats up, no problems. When I go to add more fluid because im not sure how much is actually in there, it seems to start overflowing from around where the bolts are. Im thinking maybe im adding way to much and the reading on the dip stick is the actual reading and maybe im building up so much pressure its overflowing. I put a new gasket and used the new screws and like I said its fine till I add more fluid, then I probably should. I cant just count how much is actually in there cause some could still be in the cooling lines, new supercooler and the coolant goin thru the radiator.... someone help please. I think its just overflowing.

Use the stick mesurement to determine the level with the car running in park, If the fluild is more than about 1/2 inch above the full mark you need to take some back out till its at least at that level
