Tranny cooler question

I have a B&M Hi-Tek transmission cooler. It's the big one with the fan. Would it be ok to by-pass the stock cooler and just use the B&M? Also what fitting are needed to make this work? Thanks

It would be okay to bypass, though I have mine running through both I have heard people say it is better to just run it straight to the cooler so that the fluid gets back to the tranny faster.

It can be done either way. It's half a dozen one, six another. I ran mine through the original tranny cooler, than through the new one.

My fittings came with the B&M Supercooler 24,000 GVWR. I'm sure if you got the sizes you could find them somewhere.

Re: Tranny cooler question

The return line hose is 5/16"...I believe, my lines going into the cooler was 3/8", I bought my fittings and connectors at NAPA. I had to make a huge connector with three different parts. I hid the connector near the radiator though. I ended up taking a 3/8" barb, getting a connector, than 1/4" barb for the in line, and 3/8" barb, connector, 5/16" barb for the outline.
