Torque arm bolt.....tranny side....

I was tightening this bolt yesterday, because my tranny seemed to be losse, and I over did it and it began to strip.....I took the bolt out, and cleaned it, put it back.....this bolt holds the rubber glove that holds the torque are end. It is tight but not too tight because I dont want to strip it more. I dont think it should come lose. Any suggestions? Re-threadding? or leaving it alone?

Buy a new one and replace it. It can work it's way loose if it's not tight enough and then it will definitely strip.

Just get a grade 8 bolt and nut that are the correct size and you will be fine. It will cost you a few bucks.

The bolt didnt strip, the tranny side did. There is a hole that the bolt goes into...it's on the tranny, and that began to strip. Might have to tap it and re-thread. I just left it....it seems tight and there isnt much stress on it, it only holds the torque are in place.
