throwout bearing

who makes a quality throwout bearing for the lt1 and where do you buy them? i ripped 1/2 the friction material off my AZ clutch and i think the bearing might be shot, i'm putting a spec disc in this time and want to change the bearing...i'm thinking timken but not sure where to go..

The OEM GM bearings are the best.

Does anyone sell that attaching wire piece that holds it to the PP? Mine broke and I need one but dont wanna pay for a TO bearing when all I need is that wire ..

nice. i havent had a reason to pull one yet but ive seen a couple of guys at work pull them from the bottom. how long for you pull it from top like that?

I'll do it from bottom next time...looks to easy that way..its not hard from the top but I think I could do it faster on the bottem..out the top took me 5hrs..I'd rather leave everything on the engine and just drop it out the bottom..

Plenty of room. Ok, so not plenty of room but I've done it twice in my garage. If you can get some of those nice 6 ton SUV jackstands it would be even better. I put the rear tired on my rhino ramps but jackstands work there too.

Cody did you ever find your tranny problem..aka..replacing the master/slave cylinder. My car quit going into gear with symptoms of a bad slave and I replaced it with a new GM unit but its still acting the same.

yeah, i'll second that, did mine from the top, i think next time i'm going out the bottom.
