Thinner T56 Mount

Thinner T56 Mount

I have the Poly T56 Mount which is too thick(2" or so) to allow adequate clearance between my trans. tunnel and the case of my T56. I've already BFHed the tunnel upwards of 1-3/4" so if I could get a thinner mount this would save me from modifying the trans. tunnel further. I really don't want to have to reconstruct it right now. Does anybody know where to get a thinner mount?


P.S. The T56 is the LT1 style in my 79 Cutlass.

Did you consider spacing the tranny cross-member down a bit?

The OEM stock mount is not as tall as the ES mount. But they appear to have come out with a single part # for the OEM and the 1LE mounts:
