i ahve the valvebody for a th400 in front of me. basically this tranny has been passed through a couple hands and definite information about it is kind of floating down stream. i have all the hard parts in front of me. right now i am looking at the valve body have no clue if its a manual valve body or a full automatic.
i was wondering if someone would know hwo to look for that sort of thing. i can post a pciture if you would like

 

If it's a manual, the 2 holes in the rear that usually hold the governor tubes will probably be blocked. Some/all of the valves will also not move because they're blocked.

i will have to take pictures. the governor tubes are in their. some of the valves are blocked though.
