TH400 Converters

Im pretty sure that my converter on my TH400 is slipping and was wondering what everyone is running in their setups as far as converters go and also your hp levels would be good. I searched and a lot of people recommended Coan but when i looked on their site, they have a wide variety of converters and im not sure at which power level they're all good for. Im looking for a converter that will hold a max of 600rwhp and as close to 3000 rpm as i can get in the stall but at least under 4000. And on a side note, I have B&M's Nitrous Holeshot 10" converter which is there most expensive converter they had in my stall range (but still wasnt very expensive) and was wondering if anyone knew what they should hold up to.

You should call Coan at 765-456-3957. They are very helpful as their specialty is "custom" converters. I would guess that their "Maximum Performance" converter is what you need though.

Ditto on what Rich said. I did the same thing when I bought my converter from them. Very helpful people.

How much did your custom converters run you.

Depends which one you need. I have a "Maximum Performance Steel Stator" which is necessary for my high-po application. It cost north of $1K. However, they sell converters from $200 to $3,000. Not a "one size fits all" situation, which is good.

I think my 10" non-lockup was 700 or so.
