Guys I have been searching for a way to remove the old reluctor ring off of my TH400 shaft so I can slide on the new 454ss ring I bought. I cant get the old ring off. Ever post I have read so far hasnt gone into that at all. They all say it is a no brainer. I rented a 3 jaw puller but the arms arnt long enough to get back to the gear. Now what?
Some one please tell me what I am doing wrong. I have been looking at if for 3 hours!!! help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you check the "jaguarsthatrun" website.... they seem to cover a lot of details?

 

I said F it and cut it off with a dremel, lol. Hey it worked too!

 

I go in through the governor hole and drive it off with a long steel punch.
