T56 LT1 Z28 6speed Transmission Issue, Please Help!
By the way, it does slide over to reverse. It just won't go up and into reverse to actually actuate the reverse gear. I think it's just the reverse Synchro assembly, which I was told can be flipped over, and you can use the other side of it because it's really just a 7th gear.

You can download the Tremec manual from there.
It sounds to me like your reverse sycro assembly is bad and maybe your 1-2 shift fork is bent. Probably just worn out 1-2 syncro.
The good news is you can just flip the reverse syncro and use the other side of it. The bad news is the rebuild kits are like $650.

What are you refering a rebuild kit?? for 650.00
I can get block rings for 220.00
1-2 syncro for 120
3-4 syncro for 90
5-6 syncro for 95
reverse for 87
gears are a little more around 110-120 , 4th is 140..
You will need a shop press to put/ pull the 3-4 syncro and 1-2.. Other than that all you need is some snap ring pliers, and a punch. It may be a little harder than that, but i have done 10 t-56's and 2 viper 30 spline conversions. So its easy for me , just practice.
