T-56 Tranny Problem !!!! Please Help

T-56 Tranny Problem !!!! Please Help

Hi i need help when i am drivin or even jus sittin in the car with it runnin and clutch in my shifter gets real tight and i can get it in gears and move it but its really tight then it will get normal again but it keeps gettin tight probably once every 10 minutes. does anyone kno what could be wrong i can still get it in gears jus real tough fluids are good ?? Please Help me even with car off and shiftin it still gets tight and loosens back up to normal

Have you bled the system? You might have air in there...

Im gettin the same problem on a new clutch install. Espically when im in first its like at times i need 2 people to push the shifter in gear, other times, the thing just slides right in.

Hate to say it, but me too. I can push the clutch in and out once and the problem goes away, until the next stop light. It is not just 1st gear. When the tranny is "acting" up, it happens in all the gears. I changed the trans fluid. It went away for about three tanks of gas (50miles LOL). I am now hearing clunking noises at idle in neutral with clutch out. Noise goes away when clutch is in. If I find anything, I'll post. Good luck.

your hydrolic system ethier leaks or as air in it check you clutch fluid resivoir... i have had the sam problem on 3 cars, every time the slave cylender leaked!!!!!
