T-56 swap from 700R4

I know no one likes to hear about someone else doing an auto to manual swap, but I just blew my 700R4 and have the whole summer to make it happen. I've been doing research on it and understand that I should be able to use my stock driveshaft and torque arm, but have to get a custom crossmember which I know a few places to get that from. I know getting a donor car is probably the easiest, safest way to go about this, but I want to make sure it won't crap out on me soon after I put it in, so any advice you have as to specifics on the type of T-56 I should get, things such as check for this, check for that, and any problems you ran into or heard about in doing this swap would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Drew
