t-56 fluid change?

I was wondering how many miles before one should go before changing the tranny fluid in a t-56. Ive got a 95 Z28 with 65,000 on it, but it see's fairly heavy track time with a SPEC stage 2 clutch. Would changing the fluid allow for smoother shifting, and if so, what type of fluid is recommended. Thanks!

Re: t-56 fluid change?

Most guys claim a sythentic or syncromesh fluid makes for notchy shifting when the fluid is cold, but less notchy when warmed up.

I'd change the fluid, my car had 75000 miles on it and I changed it and it was gross.
