Re: Summit TCI converters,any good?

A friend of mine had a TCI 3500 in his Formula and he didn't like it, especially after riding in my Formula with a Vig 3600. If you don't want to wait and save for a Vig, I've heard some favorable stuff from Edge and Midwest, although I have no first hand knowledge. Imho the Vig is the way to go hands down, but its pricey. But after having my Vig for 10 flawless years, I'd say its worth waiting/saving for...

I've heard of only a few that have liked TCI converters in a 700 or 4L60E. Most are dissatisfied with the way they perform.

I haven't seen too many LT1 guys who have much success with them. The LS1 guys seem to love them though.

Hmm, I have a TCI breakaway in my 60E and when the tranny was working right I loved it.
No problems, it drove fine, launched great and I plan to put a TCI stall in when I install the TH350 soon.
The one free restall that Precision industries offers is cool though.
