Stock Replacment Clutch Gone Already???

I had my stock clutch replaced under warranty 7 months (1400 miles) ago. I had smoked it at the track, to many hot laps. Since then I have taken it to the track one time (maybe 8 runs), letting it cool down this time between runs. No problems. I might have gotten on it hard twice after that. Still no problems. The other day while pulling out onto the highway, a little hard, nothing crazy, I thought I smelled my clutch. Then yesterday, at the same place, I smelled it again. So after work I wanted to get on it real hard to see what would happen. Sure enough, 1-2 shift the clutch slipped and there was that wonderful burnt clutch smell. What the hell is going on here? 1400 miles on a stock replacment clutch and only the mods I have in my sig.?
Am I doing somthing wrong or does this happen often with the stock clutch? BTW 18300 miles on car now.

Sorry I can't offer you any technical advice... but your clutch should not be wearing out that fast unless it's being really abused (which it doesn't sound like you're doing).

If you're doing high-rpm launches on sticky tires, the stock clutch won't last long though.
