Stock rear-end?

I have a 94Z M6 and run high 12's on street tires with a stock rear-end. I want to put slicks or drag radials on, but afraid of hooking real hard and braking the rear-end. Should I worry about that with just running in the 12’s. Or should I should I get a TA girdle with the slicks? Thanks

If you launch hard and hook good, then your ten bolt will be dead before long. TA girdle or not.

Honestly I would not waste your money on making your 10 bolt stronger. The biggest problem with running a M6 that is shocks the driveline with you dump the clutch. That is the main reason that you break stuff in the driveline. An auto is alot easier on the driveline because there is always a load on the driveline.
