Stock LS1 Rear-End on LT1???
You sure you have to swap axles? I just put a stock 2000 WS6 3.42 3-channel rear in my car about 1000 miles ago and we just swapped the brake brackets off my rear to the new one. Are you saying my brakes may be hanging up or will start dragging? Please don't tell me I have to swap my axles out, I just put it in a week and half ago.

You should be fine, since you changed the backing plates.

so if its a 3 channel, it will bolt right in and no problems at all. If its a 4 channel, you wont be able to hook up the ABS??
is this all i have to worry about?
no changing brakes or anything??

On the 3 series/4 series. Just get the same series of ABS that is in your car, and it will work. you are making it too complicated.
Re: Stock LS1 Rear-End on LT1???
1st- find out if you have traction control or not. Make sure that you get a rear end that has the same as yours. Traction control rear ends will have a sensor that plugs into each brake backing plate (Out by each rear wheel). Non traction control will have only one sensor, and it plugs into the pumkin (Center of the rear end).
2nd- pull the ls1 axles out of the new rear end. (if you are keeping your lt1 brakes) pull off the ls1 backing plates. Install the lt1 backing plates from your old rear end. then put the lt1 axles in the new rear end.
3rd- Make sure that everything is bolted correctly, rear end is full, and the brakes are on.
Tip: If you are keeping the LT1 brakes, you can unbolt the calipers and brake lines from the old rear end, find a way to hang them (Don't let them hang by the hoses), and swap out the rear ends. You can do this without ever disconnecting the brake lines from the calipers. This way you won't have to bleed the brakes when you are done.
