Stock 10-Bolt Posi Gear Oil
Re: Stock 10-Bolt Posi Gear Oil
IMO, You can use GM's recommendation;
Lubricant additive (GM P/N 1052358) and
SAE 80W-90 GL-5 gear lubricant
or
Synthetic gear oil, although I would not recommend the additive if using syn oil unless you get differential clutch chatter without using it.
I have never had clutch / cone chatter using syn oil w no additive although there's a first time for everything.
There is a possibility of premature disengagement when using syn fluid and additive, and in case of a WOT lauch, this can cause overheating damage to the assembly. JMO
