stand alone transmission controller

I have a 93 camaro z28. It has a 700r4 in it currently. I found a great deal on a c.p.t Max effort 4l60e and was wondering if i could just go with a stand alone transmission controller over the 94-95 p.c.m swap. I know it will be more expensive but I figured it would be worth it since I have all the chip burning software and hardware and I am familiar with the 93 e.c.u. also what brands would you guys suggest as well

I've seen too many issues with stand alone controllers. You might be better off to just have the 700R4 out of the '93 rebuilt. Alot less headache and probably less expensive in the long run...

Would be better off rebuilding your 700

or else doing the 94-95 ecu swap
