mainly street dont have to drive far to work and plan on going to track few times, i just would like to get the rolling getup and go down real nice, and best quarter times as well my torque peaks about 3500ish and thats where hp meets about
The 12" torque converter becomes inefficient once it goes over apx. 2,150 rpm in stall. This is GM tops rated stall speed for the 12" torque converter. With the 9.5" torque converter the efficiency is very good at 2,400 - 2,800 rpm. Once you go past 2,150 rpm stall in a 12" torque converter, torque multiplication starts to go down, heat starts to go up, the torque converter starts to become slippery, as the stall goes higher. The lighter weight of the 9.5" torque converter (apx. 15 -17 lbs less than the 12") is much easier on the transmission and rear end, which is a plus.
