Stall converter range?

I have a pretty much bone stock LT1... as you can see in my sig line... the gears are questionable, so dont take those into consideration... everything else is there though.... what kind of stall am i lookin at if i want to be able to launch quicker with my auto? i was thinking of 3500... but that seems too steep... so maybe 2500? someone help!!!!

Edited to add: and also, whats this skipshift crap i keep hearing about? all i hear about it, is that its on sticks, and its something that makes the car shift to a gear on its own? how the hell does a manual shift on its own? and what is skipshift?

With an OBD I car I'd go 3000. No more no less.

Skip shift in a M6 is a computer lock out of 2nd and 3rd only under certain conditions. You still have to shift it but it won't let you use 2 or3 you must go to 4th.
