stall converter

ok--need some opinions here-- which is the better converter. Midwest 2800 with 2.5 str, or Fuddle 3400 with 2.1 str. future plans include headers and hotcam to go with exhaust and cai and madz28 tune. my tranny is built to 450 hp. running the midwest right now.

when you add headers, cai, and hotcam your stall speed is going to go up slightly from what it is now. do you think you can live with a bigger stall? from my personal experiance I love big stalls so Im gonna say something different who can't stand much more than a stock stall. IMO run the midwest and see how it works out. if you feel you'll run better with a bigger stall then switch over.

The Fuddle 3400 will probably cut your 1/4 mile ET by about five tenths (.500) if that is your goal. I don't think the 2800 would be anywhere near that.

You'll also need the proper traction to handle the torque multiplication off the line with the 3400 stall to realize the full benefit of the converter.

I'd say leave what you have now and do the headers. No reason to buy another stall converter when you already have one, but don't have headers yet.
