The other day I noticed a squeal coming from the car which sounded much like the squealers on the brakes pad. Right now I have the car up on jack stands and when I turn the rear wheels by hand (car in nuetral) there is a high pitched squeal coming from the transmission. Any ideas on what this could be?

BTW, 114k on auto transmission

Well if it isnt real loud when your turning the wheels it may not be and issue since the sprags(oneway clutches )do make a spealing noise lightly , Now if its really loud theres and issue , Though I have never really heard a transmission make a loud squeal just by turning the output shaft
