Spec stage 4 for LT1
Spec stage 4 for LT1
How harsh are we talking here? Like really bad for daily driving or can I manage? I have a mainly bolt on car like full exhuast some electronics, intake, stuff like that, but I dont mind it being alittle harsh, this car isnt my grocery getter. And can anybody tell me why the stage 4 is cheaper than the stage 3? It is from the ws6store.com website I plan on getting my clutch from at least. Let me know, thanks for the input!
Cant speak for the Stage 4 but I just installed a stage 3+ and it is great so far. The first drive out was scary as hell cause of SEVERE chatter, it was like I had never driven a stick before cause I could not even get it going without killing the motor. This was due to the new surfaces beiong grabby which must break in first. I only spent $300 for the disk and I resurfaced my existing SLP presure plate so I got the whole job done for less than $400.
Now after a hundred miles it is a hundred times better after slightly adjusting the way you drive it compared to a more stock clutch. A few extra RPM makes the difference and is near chatter free and getting better with more miles.
IMHO you are not making the power that requires that much clutch anyway, but maybe you are thinking about the future.
Maybe someone can speak to the stage 4.
