Is This Spec Clutch Right For Me?

I need a new clutch, just got my cam in so the power of the car is 325rwhp & 330rwtq. I was thinking of putting in the Spec 2 is that the clutch i need for the power i'm making? I don't want to go over kill on the clutch.

Thanks

p.s.

sounds good, spec 2 would be just right.... they are aggressive clutches and they take some time to break in...i kno the spec 3 clutches that my buddy has is tough to get used to, other than that when they break in they are good street/strip clutches...good luck

Spec 2 is right for you, I think they are rated at up to 475 Flywheel HP, so you can install it, and still be able to mod without having to worry about your clutch.

No spec clutch is right for any f-body. I have seen first hand what their 600 hp rated clucthes do when put behind a bolt on car. IllusionalTA, give us the details.

500 miles on my spec stage 3, and its very aggressive taking off from stop in 1st, other than that not much of a difference.

I had a Spec 1 professionally installed and it chattered so bad (even after the "propper" break-in) that I had it changed out. Went to a Spec 2 (resurfaced the flywheel again first) and it was better but I'm still not thrilled with it. It chatters way too much for stop and go driving, I've never had any problems with any clutch on any of roughly a dozen cars over the last 27 years except for this one.
From all of the searching I did on clutches I've determined that the only clutch that everyone has nothing but praise for on our cars was the Mc Leod Street Twin (watch, now that I've said that the naysayers will come out of the woodwork). Anyway I know it's expensive but I will definitly go that route next time.
There seams to be an unusual frequency of problems with clutches on our LT1 cars so check everything twice and don't cut corners.

Umm 309RWHP was too much for the fabled Stage III.. It feels aggresive on the street.. minute you put a strong rear and a good tire on the car.. Kiss it goodbye.. only speaking from prior experiance.. Went w/ the street twin never looked back.
