Spec Clutch Gone Bad 20,000 Miles

I bought a SPEC stage 1 clutch for my 97 T56. In 20,000 Miles the clutch is gone. I even snapped a clutch fork right in half when she went. Any ideas why she went out so quick? Also what would be a better replacment? I bought an AC Delco to get by.

sounds like you been beating on it!!

Anyways, you'll hear repsonses from some Spec owners who also got low mileage out of them. Usually the springs on the clutch disc break.....thats why i went with the SLP clutch cause i wanted some mileage out of it..

Spec sucks. I hate them. My clutch went out at 15k, and I dont want another spec clutch. But I dont have $1000 for a street twin, so Ill probably have to go with the offer they gave me (stage 4 for 1/2 price).

Would be curious to know why all of you had some many issues. I have currently 60,000 on my stage 2 without any issues. I plan to purcahse another in the next week or so becasue it is now going bad.

97 LT1
162,000 miles

one thing that it may actually be is the master/slave cylinders going bad. That may actually be my current problem.
