Question 12 bolt question?

I am about to buy a Strange or Moser 12 bolt. I am still going to use ABS. I am also about to redo my suspension with Spohn. I plan on getting Spohn Panhard Bars, Adj. Torque arm, and Lower Control arms. Can someone with experience let me know if I have to do anything special to my car for this suspension setup on the 12 bolt. I just want to make sure these Suspension component's are just a direct bolt on(10 bolt or 12 bolt). I plan on using them on the stock rear, but will soon upgrade the the 12 bolt. let me know if this suspension set-up will work. Any advice is Welcome, Thanks.

Re: 12 bolt question?

All those components should bolt right up with your old 10 bolt. Be aware though that once you put that torque arm on, you Will feel the road more and any vibrations you might have that you didn't previously feel, you may with that set up. Reason being is because that arm bolts directly to the body instead of sliding into the rubber mount on your tranny. Also, when you get a 12 bolt, you may need to get another driveshaft cause there is a slight difference between the 10 and 12 bolts as far as measurements between the rear yoke and the tranny. Also, whichever 12 bolt you opt for, see if you can have them build it with a solid pinion spacer instead of a crush sleeve, even if you have to pay a little more, but shouldn't be much. Crush sleeves tend to do just that, "crush" when you hammer on the rear, therefore slightly throwing the setup on your gears out, thus causing them to whine some. A solid pinion spacer should keep your setup pretty consistant. Hope that info helps you out.
