Skip Ship?????

I was wondering what the skip shift module for the 6 speed cars actually did.--Thanks--

Stops the 1st to 4th pita shift. I had my tuned out.

2.2K resister found at radio shack does the same thing and costs a couple of cents.

I just unplugged mine from the tranny and have had no issues. No codes, SES lights, etc.

Unplugging the Skip Shift solenoid only works on the 94/95 cars. Still sets DTC 84, but doesn't turn on the SES light. In the 96/97 OBD-II cars, sets a code and turns on the SES light.

You might want to add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, etc - so people can give you accurate answers.
