First off, I did do a search and couldn't find what I was looking for, so if I have missed the answer, please let me know kindly.

I have a m5 3.8L and I was interested in getting a short throw shifter. I was curious to know if an m6 shifter would work or not? I feel that it's all basically the same between the m5 and m6, but I'm also new to this, so any knowledge would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.

 

Nobody knows? I'm sure some of you guys out there have done this, or know that it can't be done.
