Short Shifter Install? (nOOB)

Hey guys, well i am very new to z28's i was a honda person and built hondas for a couple of year and then decided to get a z28...

now i know everything about hondas, but i just need to know how hard it is to intall a

B&M Ripper shifter?

difficult? can someone give me a general walk-through?

this is basically it, since you have an lt1 it will look slightly different but for the most part, the same
and you'll find that pro 5.0 is another shifter that is very highly reccommended on this board
i'll be getting one and the lou's short stick here very shortly

yea, its pretty easy, about an hour job if you work slow, take out the center console, the rubber boot and swap the shifters and replace the boot and console. Be sure to use some rvt when you put the new shifter on. I have the pro 5.0 and i like it alot and my friend had the ripper and he said his is smoother but i've never shifted his so i would recomend both.

yeah also the hurst i have the hurst billet plus with the lous ss and the slp hurst leather **** man this thing is awsome! i recommend the 5.0 or hurst because u cant change the stick on the ripper

ok thanks for the nice posts (hoda guys can be dicks) but i think that i am going to be welcome here..

now can this be done just though the top of the consol or do i have to go underneath the car or not???

no u do it on top u have to remove the shifter area and bottom center console if u go to projectcamaro.com and go to forums then scroll down to tutorials and click the billet plus install i wrote that up and it tells u exactly what to do

ummm just to make the throw alot shorter ya know......... i just had a short shifter in my honda, and when i got my car i was like dam it is a long way to travel to shift
