shifting problems... 4l60e

i have a 94 z28 with 90xxx. lately the tranny has been acting up. it only happens at WOT, the tranny revs out at like 4500rpms like its in nuetral. but at like 80% throttle it shifts fine. 1-2 is the worst and always does, but 2-3 it onl does it about 60% of the time. anyone know what this could be?

thanks mike..

These are usually the first signs that the transmission is just wore out. The delay is usually caused by the band or clutches having too much clearance, and not coming on quick enough.
What condition is the fluid in? Is it dark, or does it smell burnt?
