shifting issue

i have a 94 Formula A4, and this morning when I floored it, I felt this big thump from under my console when my tranny shifted from 2nd to 3rd, I did check my tranny mount and it looks fine.It now does that but its way more noticeable when I push it hard.Any suggestions?

Re: shifting issue

I would say either trans mount or torque arm mount- try using a pry bar while you're under there and see how far they will stretch. They should flex a little, but not actually move.

Re: shifting issue

Im thinking it is the trans mount, thing is I only felt that thump when shifting from 2nd to 3rd, yesterday I felt it while taking off from a stop.I had that problem before, changed trans mount and problem was solved.
