I've got a last year 02 Z28 w/auto trans. I've owned both 1st/2nd gen F bodies and always been able to fine a good aftermarket shifter that allows you to rachet shift manually a single gear at a time and prevents accidental shifting into neutral. B and M made a shifter that actually dropped into the stock console for 2nd gen cars.

There are plenty of aftermarket short throw shifters for the manual box but I have seen nothing for auto trans equipped cars.

I'd prefer something that doesn't requiring cutting up the stock console. Any feedback would be really appreciated.

Also any recommendation of auto trans shift kits. Stock shift on partial and hard acceleration are pretty mushy.
