Shift kit Question

I am getting ready to throw a vigilante 2800 stall, cooler, and shift kit in the T/A this weekend. The Transgo shift kit has different configurations for firmness and I was wondering what the majority of people would recommend for this. I want the car to shift firm but not violent. Seth at Combination Motorsports recommended going with the "firmest" configuration but I just want to make sure this is not too much for street driving. I know the stall will absorb quite a bit of the shift firmness........

Any comments / suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the advise,
Stephen

If you want it to shifts smooth at part throttle, and firm at WOT then use one spacer and no more. If you want this kit to make a "big" difference, (with this torque converter) then change the plate hole sizes to "A" (3rd) .155", "B" (2nd) .096", "C" (.110"), "D" (.110"), "E" (4th) .155", "F" (.093), "S" (.093). These holes sizes are similar to what Trans-Go used in the past, they changed to the smaller holes to compensate for the "torque management system". The problem is thet the "new" way "DOES NOT HELP MUCH". I use the settings in all of my perfromance rebuilds with much success. These settings will give you nice part throttle shifts, with firm shifts at WOT. If you have any questions on this let me know?
