Hey guys, just got the Transgo shift kit into the Iroc...after alot of swearing, throwing, and kicking, it ended up working out, but I have one issue:

This has happened 3 times thus far, and happens about 30% of the time. I will go to start the car, and the engine will crank, and detonate, but it stalls, like the tranny isnt catching it. I can hold the engine at about 3000rpm and it just wont catch and if i let off it stalls. Then, one or two more tries later, it catches...any ideas? Could this be that the band is too loose? I checked for clearance, and it was about 3/16 of an inch of play which was what the video claimed was the maximum you wanted it, while shimming the servo.

 

sounds to me like a valve body gasket blowing your fluid out everywhere
