Servo Question

Will A 700r4 vette servo fit the 4L60E in my 00 silverado? I have an extra one sitting on my bench and figured I'd ask.

Re: Servo Question

The trucks don't have then the f-bodies already do. If you have one and want to put it in go for it, you will feel the difference. The problem comes however with mis-matching parts upgrades. Kinda like throwing N2O on your car and not upgrading the fuel system. It will work well and maybe even work a long time but it is not the most optimal setup and you might develop problems down the road.

Re: Servo Question

Your '00 Silverado has a "V-8" servo (last digits 53 in the casting) GM used the "corvette" servo in the first 2 years in trucks, but then changed the accumultor lay-out and switched to the "V-8" servo from then-on in the trucks (unless it's a Silverado SS). All LT1 and LS1 F-Bodies already have "Corvette" servos in them.

Yes, a 700 servo is interchangeable with a 4L60E servo. Just make sure you're not swapping similar parts. What's the casting number on the servo out of the 700?
