Screwed up rearend, Whats wrong?

ok, heres what happens, when i turn sharp, the car jumps and makes clunking noises. when i give it the gas, only one tire spins. so i know there is something wrong, like the positrack is screwed, or an axle is jacked up. is there any way to tell, and can i still drive the car? it drives just fine in a straight line with no noises, but i dont know if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any advice.

When you step on the throttle in a turn, the posi locks the 2 axles together. Since you are turning a corner, you don't want the axles locked together, since the inside wheel needs to turn slower than the outside wheel. If they lock up, as they will do with a correctly functioning posi - under hard load - the inside wheel has got to slip going aroung the corner.

Doesn't sound like there is anything wrong at all, except the posi is a little on the aggressive side. Does it have the GM LSD additive in it?

I have a broke worm gear in mine. When I'm in reverse it pops and jumps. It will get worse pretty quick if it's affecting forward movement.

well, it messes up durring turns, but im talking the one tire breaks lose just in a straight shot under a load, so im thinking the posi is not working at all. if the worm gear was broken, then i would think it wouldnt even drive right at all.
Thanks for the replies.
