Reverse Syncro

I was just wondering, with my Reverse syncro being messed up and my tranny wanting to pop out of reverse, will this affect any other of my gears syncros and or will it mess up my tranny? All other gears shift fine except for when im backing up and me having to hold the stick in reverse. Im about to make a long trip to Atlanta and what to be sure im not going to have my tranny crap out on me.

i have the same problem and i thought that it was a synchro, but i was told reverse is not synchronized. therefore, it is a different problem like shift fork or something like that. I just started shifting into third before reverse and that helps a bit.

hopefully someone more knowledgable will help you pinpoint the problem.
