Reverse Lockout Code 83

So... car is a 1995 M6 w/ a 383 (not an M6 swap). It is a biach to get in reverse.

I know the reverse solenoid is not activating, hense the fighting reverse and the code.

My question is... is there any computer related problems that could cause this? I searched and found that a 94 tune can cause this problem. Im not sure when it started, but Im pretty sure it started when I put in the 383... I also got a new tune from Madwolf at that time.

How accessable is the solenoid? Can I test it easily or do I need to drop the tranny? Does anyone have any pictures of this?

----------

Im gonna upload the stock tune to see if that fixes the problem.

The solenoid is very easy to get to. You may have to lower the tranny a little bit to take it off but it shouldnt be a problem.

I can't imagine why the "tune" would affect the reliability of the reverse lockout solenoid. Its on the same fuse (#6 underhood) as many other items (skip shift, EVAP solenoid, EGR solenoid, fan relay) so if the fuse is blown, you should have a few other codes - worth checking the fuse. Or check the green wire on pin D6 to make sure its not loose.
