Reusing diff and tranny fluid?

so what are your guy's thoughts on reusing tranny fluid and diff fluid?

just put new stuff in both like 2-3k miles ago. Trans broke, I drained the fluid it looked clean but its in one of those(you can see in) drain pans. Thinks its worth reusing? dump it into a clear container, to see if any funky metal is in it, then redump into the new trans?

Also for diff, no problems, but swapping the entire 10-bolt, and a few internal parts. Can I swap reuse the fluid.

woudl be using new never used drainpans for each.

normally I wouldn't mind but its like $25-45 worth of fluid. Figure its worth asking.

I say its not worth the chance, don't risk your $$$ rebuilt trans over a couple bucks in fluids.....

It's only $24 for a case of new transmission fluid. Why would you even think about reusing the old stuff? If the old transmission went, it has most definitely contaminated the fluid.

Absolutely not. You will screw up your new parts.
