Post Removing the rear end.. Im stuck

Its almost off .. I just need to remove LCAs and the track bar/panhard rod. Bolts on the track bar are TIGHT ive broken like 3 sockets on it and they are getting loose.. Im using a breaker bar and other ways to get them loose?

Or should I just get my grinder out?

Thanks

WD40 is not a penetrating oil; get some PB blaster or Seafoam Deep-Creep; then let it soak

PB BLASTER! That stuff works wonders. Then maybe try an impact to loosen them up or something. then a nice breaker bar. I would be very suprised if pb blaster could not help you. Good luck

Get some 1/2 impact sockets. You wont bust those and yes use the PB blaster. Grinder as last resort.

I don't know what you are using for sockets, but a quality 6 point socket should not break.

Didn't even need PB blaster to drop my panhard rod, just used a ratched and box end. Go with some decent Craftsman tools, can't beat that lifetime warranty .

It might be too late but sounds like your bolts are binding up on spuk, you should to wire brush the remaining threads as well as possible them spray some lube on them , try to tighten up a little, brush then lube and untighten Good luck, I use these little cheap wire brushes that look like tooth brushes, get them at auto part stores and use solvent on threads

Actually the new differential is on already . Everything is almost bolted up i just need to buy some rotors and brakepads tomorrow since the ones i had are pretty bad..

Ok the rear end is a bolted up i got a couple of questions though .

1. It looks like the thread from bolt that goes on the lower part of the shock. (the one that bolts it on to the differential) is bad.. Where can i buy these type of bolts? Or do i have to buy the whole shock?

2nd The trackbar stayed on the old differential and it wont budge to get it out.. These should be cheap at a junk yard right?

3rd im going to have to have my pcm reprogrammed to the new gears right?

Thats about it Thanks
